Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar made a surprise disclosure on former country leg-spinner Danish Kaneria. In a TV show, Shoaib said, “Danish was Hindu. So it was unfair to him. Some players had reservations about why he eats food with us? ”
Kaneria has released his own statement following the ordeal on his personal twitter handle. He requested everybody to not transform the issue’s context politically. The statement released did not mention anybody who actually discriminated against him. Furthermore, he Thanked various cricketers for their support. Moreover, he also asked Prime Minister Imran Khan for his help in regards to some issues.
Whatever @shoaib100mph said in his interview is true. But at the same time, i am thankful to all great players who supported me wholeheartedly as a cricketer. I personally request all not to politicise the issue. Here is my statement: pic.twitter.com/8vN3Kilm4W

Even though the Spinner specifically did not want to involve politics, Indian media is misinterpreting the whole issue in order to justify the controversial Citizenship Amendment Law. Kaneria while talking to an Indian Tv Channel continuously told the anchor about how he got love in Pakistan on a daily basis. He argued that it was Shoaib who gave the statement so he must know something but as far he knows there was nop such thing apparently. He urged Akhter to reveal the names or the time will tell.
He further recognized the support from Inzamam-ul-Haq, Muhammad Yousaf (Yousif Yohana), Younis Khan, and Shoaib Akhter himself. However, the news anchor was persistent in the extreme discrimination against minorities in Pakistan. On commenting on the religious change of Muhammad Yousaf as a personal decision. The Indian Anchor can also be seen persuading the former national cricketer to consider the CAB. However, Kaneria clearly declined the suggestion by saying he will not involve in political issues. Currently, Kaneria has launched his official Youtube channel where he gives cricket guidance and reviews on cricket matches.
Kaneria represented Pakistan at Test and One Day International (ODI) for a decade (2000-2010). A right-arm leg spinner known for his well-disguised googly. He is fourth on the list of bowlers with most Test wickets for Pakistan, behind only fast bowlers Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, and Imran Khan. Kaneria was the second Hindu after Anil Dalpat, and seventh non-Muslim overall to represent Pakistan in international cricket.
After allegations of being involved in spot-fixing, Kaneria was given a lifetime ban by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), preventing him from playing in matches under their jurisdiction. He subsequently filed an appeal against the ban, but this was rejected in July 2013.
In October 2018, Kaneria admitted to his involvement in the 2009 spot-fixing scandal.
